About This Cause

The Plymouth Community Food Pantry provides food and referrals to those in need. We are dedicated to working in and with our community to end hunger, its causes and effects. The Plymouth Community Food Pantry was started twenty years ago with help from Roland and Ellen Anderson at the Terryville Congregational Church. The first food pantry was literally a closet in the church. Parish members donated canned goods and the pantry served just a handful of hungry townspeople. Since then, the food pantry has grown significantly. We currently serve 400 individuals. The Plymouth Community Food Pantry provides food and referrals to Plymouth residents in need. We are dedicated to working in and with our community to end hunger, its causes and effects. The Plymouth Community Food Pantry, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501 c (3) organization. The pantry currently operates three days per week; Monday, 12:00-3:00, Wednesday, 4:30-7:30, and Friday, 8:30-12:00. We offer curbside pick-up or client shopping, as well as delivery to those unable to leave home. The pantry is currently operating under Covid-19 guidelines as set by the CDC and the State of Connecticut. Please check our website, plymouthfoodpantry.org, to see the protocols we are following.
