About This Cause

North Brooklyn Parks Alliance is a public-private partnership born out of the Bloomberg Administration’s 2005 rezoning of the Greenpoint/Williamsburg waterfront, acting as a bridge between the community and multiple governmental agencies to plan, create, improve, and activate parks and open spaces in the impacted area. Founded nearly 20 years ago, we are the only district-wide parks conservancy in New York City, serving Brooklyn’s Community Board 1.
