Mission Statement

Our Vision: We envision a world where people living with serious mental illness thrive in communities of hope and opportunity. Our Mission: To champion behavioral health recovery by facilitating Clubhouse expansion throughout the Puget Sound Region.

About This Cause

HERO House NW has a 18-year history of service to the Bellevue, Washington community and has seen unprecedented growth from 2018 to 2019. From just one Clubhouse in Bellevue (Bellevue Clubhouse) with a budget of 500,000+ (just 4 years ago), we have nearly tripled in size with the addition of the Seattle Clubhouse and the Everett Clubhouse with a total budget of 2.5 million. We have been able to set the stage for our vision of a Puget Sound region where people with serious and persistent mental illness not only survive, but thrive. HERO House NW has three Clubhouses in Bellevue, Seattle and Everett under our umbrella organization. Our three year plan is to strengthen these three Clubhouses both programmatically and fiscally so as to create a triangular hub to support future Clubhouse expansion in Western Washington. Clubhouses create a safe space where members living with mental illness can step out of the shadows of social isolation and into the light of a healing community. Through meaningful relationships, our Clubhouse members have real opportunities to reintegrate into society by becoming gainfully employed, pursuing education, and attaining stable housing. At HERO House NW, our long term goal is to establish a Clubhouse in every community in our region. With Clubhouses throughout the Puget Sound, there will be a network of communities that provide Hope, Empowerment, Relationships, and Opportunity to those living with serious and persistent mental illness.
