Our mission is to protect and sustain the significant lands in our communities for clean water, outdoor recreation, fresh food, wildlife, and healthy forests.
About This Cause
SELT's mission recognizes that conservation is achieved in two steps – first protection and then stewardship. Our four priorities are as follows: - Strategic Land Protection: Proactively protect Conservation Focus Areas with an added emphasis on farmland and water resources - Connect People to Place: Expand our visibility to broaden and strengthen the connection of people and communities to the Land Trust’s work - Broaden our Relationships: Deepen our relationships with members, residents, and communities to expand our reach, increase our effectiveness, and ensure our long-term stability - Sustain our Success: Continue our conservation work through model stewardship of our lands and easements
