Mission Statement
For the glory of God, the Sonshine Soup Kitchen feeds the hungry, clothes the cold and barefoot, and offers hope to the despairing.
About This Cause
Hot, nourishing meals are served to men, women and children five days per week with no eligibility requirements. Meals can be delivered to home-bound persons who would use the Soup Kitchen if they were able to. Besides meals, we keep clothing personal care items, and survival supplies on hand for persons in crisis situations. We are staffed by three persons and six to ten volunteers every day resulting in a strong community platform for community service requirements and for those who wish to serve the community in this way. We are funded primarily by grants, individuals, businesses and churches.
