Mission Statement
The Hampton Community Coalition is 100% violunteer-driven a nonprofit community action group working to improve the health and well being of Hampton Area children and families, particularly those caught in difficult life transitions or without a permanent home.
About This Cause
Formed in 1995 as a partnership between community volunteers and the Hampton schools, the coalition organizes local volunteers and resources in creative ways, building a caring community that responds to the needs of others. With a tight family budget and no financial cushion, an unpaid sick day, a car in need of repair, or an unexpected medical crisis can quickly turn life into a daily struggle. We help local families with children in our school get through temporary crises so that “our children” might arrive at school each day “ready to learn.” Because HCC operates entirely with volunteer energy in donate space, EVERY DOLLAR donated goes directly to Hampton families in need.
