Mission Statement
The Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands is committed to connecting those touched by Down syndrome through education, advocacy and support.
About This Cause
The Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands serves over 500 families in the Omaha Metro area. Our focus includes new and expectant parent outreach, partnerships in 20 school districts, outreach and partnerships with health care professionals, and events to connect families and encourage support and bonds. Our Down Syndrome Education Series brings national experts in the fields of Down syndrome education, health care, and research to Omaha on a monthly basis. Our newest offering is a tutoring program designed to support the most successful learning styles of children with Down syndrome.
