Mission Statement
A 501c 3 nonprofit founded in 1999, provides comprehensive health, diet, nutrition, and fitness programs to serve children and families struggling with obesity and related diseases and enrichment programs to enhance youth’s opportunities to succeed in school and attain a post secondary education.
About This Cause
Founded by former Minnesota Gopher and Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Melvin Anderson, YDS has to major programs: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, a holistic multi-faceted programs to influence youth social ,emotional, and academic behaviors. HEALTH PROGRAM, a comprehensive program & services to provide access to combat complex health issues related to obesity and unhealthy lifestyles
