Mission Statement
TBEY is a year-round art education multi-programmed, youth serving agency designed to enhance the overall mission to promote the arts. TBEY offers opportunities to improve education and personal development. TBEY provides a place where youth can gather in a safe environment and link with peers that have the same passion and interest in the arts as well as be creative and have fun at the same time.
About This Cause
TBEY works primarily with underserved families who desire to have a productive after-school & summer environment. TBEY provides motivated young people the opportunity to explore the arts, perform, connect with peers and teaching artists, develop leadership, and be mentored by local Milwaukee artists each semester. Artists work one-on-one with students to mentor, influence, and teach youth about the different avenues in art and culture while providing a structured environment. TBEY provides mentorship under the leadership of passionate adults. Youth learn valuable life skills by having access to a place where love of the arts is encouraged and can be used in a myriad of ways to help achieve life and learning goals.
