About This Cause

The vision of the New Hampshire SPCA is a safe and loving home for every animal. Now celebrating 150 years of saving animals lives, we provide services throughout New Hampshire, northern Massachusetts and southern Maine. Our facilities provide the most up to date housing, medical care and enrichment for animals in our care, but a shelter environment is not a home and that is what we aspire to achieve for every adoptable animal. In addition to caring for animals awaiting homes, we provide low cost veterinary care for owned animals, a safe haven for animals owned by families going through transitions do to circumstances such as housing insecurity, hospitalizations and domestic violence. We also offer food safety net programs so that families can keep their beloved animal even when enduring economic strife. Our five cornerstones of our agency are sheltering & adoption, veterinary care, prevention of cruelty through investigations, behavior training and humane education. Our live release rate is typically between 95 and 97% of all animals entering our shelter. We are a four star rated charity as rated by Charity Navigator.
