Mission Statement
Our mission is to alleviate hunger and homelessness in South Santa Clara County by providing food, housing and employment related services, and advocating for system changes to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable people in our communities.
About This Cause
St Joseph's Family Center is the largest food pantry in South Santa Clara County, and one of the largest in the entire county. The lasting economic effects from the COVID-19 pandemic has magnified the need in our community exponentially. We have converted our pantry distribution to a drive-thru food distribution model serving 1900-2000 families weekly. We distribute 100+ lunches to un-housed individuals daily. The Homeless Prevention Team has seen a dramatic increase in need for rental assistance. We continue to case manage 12 formerly homeless individuals and 13 domestic violence victims and their children. We are currently operating a winter shelter for 35 homeless families with children under the age of 18 years.
