Missouri River Relief is a community, volunteer and equipment-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to connecting people to the Missouri River through hands-on river clean-ups, education events and stewardship activities.
About This Cause
Missouri River Relief brings people together to make a visible and lasting difference in their community by conducting large-scale river clean-ups and education events right where it matters most--on the banks of the longest river in North America. Missouri River Relief is an action-oriented, volunteer and equipment-based organization. To date, we’ve taken 27,000 volunteers on the river to clean-up 940 TONS of trash. We have conducted educational programs for 25,000 students and teachers. We connect people to the Missouri River in a vital way, offering a chance to do something positive. People learn the river provides drinking water and other important needs, and become motivated to protect the resource.
