Mission Statement
Since its founding in 1636, Harvard has been continuously renewed by gifts from friends and alumni/ae. The development office exists to perpetuate and build on this long tradition of support by generating resources and nurturing lifelong relationships between Harvard and its donors. Each staff member plays a critical role in advancing the University's position as a world leader in teaching, learning, and research. To accomplish this purpose, we value high energy, quality performance, and entrepreneurial leadership, with emphasis on good judgment, collegiality, and a positive attitude. We work hard to produce an environment that fosters mutual respect, collaboration, and achievement. Because Harvard contributes so significantly to the growth and dissemination of knowledge, our work plays an important role in strengthening society by strengthening this extraordinary University.
