About This Cause
RCAP Solutions is the go-to resource of sustained success for individuals, families, and the communities in which they live. Established in 1969 (as Rural Housing Improvement), RCAP has supported the power and potential of communities for over half a century as strategists of community-wide well-being. RCAP Solutions envisions a world made up of strong and resilient communities and individuals, confident in their potential and with ownership of their success. As the Worcester County Housing Consumer Education Center, RCAP Solutions has a robust housing profile throughout Worcester County, extending across the greater Central Massachusetts region. This includes: workforce development; rental assistance; homelessness prevention counseling; financial assistance; managing affordable housing for the elderly, disabled, and families; and a home modification loan program. Our wide array of housing services assists approximately 10,000 families each year. As the Northeast Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) affiliate, our organization supports communities of all sizes to promote public, environmental, and economic health. This includes: private well assessments; asset management and mapping; community needs assessments and surveys; technical assistance and consulting; economic development and small business assistance; and recycling advocacy in the Caribbean. Our efforts leverage millions of additional dollars annually for hundreds of underserved communities that we assist throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition, our staff manages a significant education and training curriculum supporting diverse community needs including housing and water programs, as well as disaster preparation and recovery assistance for communities impacted by natural disasters. All told, our services positively impact over a half a million individuals each year.
