About This Cause
A Child In Desperate Need Of Help Is At The Center Of All We Do For almost 50 years, Wide Horizons has worked with orphaned children worldwide. During this time, we have observed that a child is most at risk of becoming an orphan when a perfect storm of crises takes hold of their family. Given this truth, we decided to see what would happen if we intervened with help BEFORE these crises took hold. We focused relentlessly on keeping the most at-risk families intact — and made a startling discovery. We can prevent a child from becoming an orphan by providing integrated services to preserve and strengthen their family. So this is what we do. And for those children who are already orphaned when we first meet them, we do everything we can to help build nurturing families within an orphanage or through adoption.
