Mission Statement
Mission: “The House of Hope, a temporary shelter, provides advocacy and care for homeless families. Rooted in a belief in God, and under the direction of an ecumenical board, it seeks to affirm the dignity of life to all who are served.”
About This Cause
House of Hope, Inc. serves homeless families at four shelter locations: (18) Families at 812 Merrimack St., (31) Families at our newest location 520 Fletcher St., (7) families 35 Varnum Ave, and (2) at our CO-Shelter location 179 Salem St., all located in Lowell, MA. The shelters are staffed 24 hours a day / 7 days a week including all holidays. Our shelters accommodate a total of 58 families at a time and it is extremely rare to have a vacancy. The homeless families we serve come from all areas of Massachusetts. We provide emergency shelter, food, on-site well health clinics, case management, parenting classes, recovery support groups, employment and education assistance, internship opportunities, computer lab, children’s activities and personal enrichment workshops. The services offered teach the parents how to better take care of themselves and their children.
