Mission Statement
Milford Humane Society is an all volunteer, non-profit, no kill cat shelter which offers a safe environment for unwanted, stray and feral cats and kittens to prepare them for adoption into forever homes. Established in 1989 thousands of animals have passed through our shelter and found homes. Some will remain at the shelter housed in the open rooms where they live cage free and interact with other cats and the volunteers. The goal is for all animals to find homes, but that does not always happen because of medical conditions or degree of human acceptance.
About This Cause
Milford Humane Society is an all volunteer, non-profit, no kill cat shelter which provides housing, medical care and a safe environment for cat and kittens to prepare them for adoption into homes. We accept, stray, unwanted and feral cats into the shelter on a space and need basis. Some of these animals will remain at the shelter because of medical conditions or social status. We also offer quarantine services housing cats with wounds of unknown origin for the four month period required by the MA Department of Agriculture. Our volunteers spend time working with the less adoptable cat to help them adjust to human contact.
