Mission Statement
Domestic Violence Services Network, Inc. (DVSN) works in collaboration with communities to end domestic violence. We strive to empower and educate all peoples in ways that respect their dignity and choices while promoting their safety.
About This Cause
Since DVSN’s inception in November 1998 through June 2024, DVSN has held over 22,000 support sessions with clients from 160 communities throughout New England and beyond. In FY2022, DVSN responded to 1200 referrals/requests for service. 90% of our clients reside in one of our 13 partner communities: Acton, Boxborough, Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Maynard, Stow, Sudbury, Wayland, Weston and Hanscom Air Force Base and 63% are families with children under the age of 18. Victims of domestic violence, dating violence, or stalking come to DVSN from: 1. Incidents reported to one of our 12 partnering police departments. 2. Calls to our toll free, confidential Help Line from anywhere. 3. Walk‐ins to any one of our 12 partner police departments for help. 4. Referrals by Emerson Hospital medical staff. 5. Anyone seeking an abuse prevention order at the Concord District Court. 6. Requests for accompaniment to Ayer, Framingham, Lowell, Cambridge, or any other court with jurisdiction over abuse prevention orders sought by a DVSN client.
