Mission Statement
The Cohen Camps enrich children’s lives by encouraging Jewish youth to be comfortable and confident in themselves so that they can connect positively with others and the world they live in. We are a community of positive role models who help our youth explore their Jewish identity and experience the joy of their Jewish heritage. Our campers and counselors leave camp determined to sustain Judaism and the Jewish People, and are committed to contributing responsibly to their world.
About This Cause
Welcome to The Eli and Bessie Cohen Camps, our family of three New England Jewish summer camps full of fun, energy and amazing community, capped by an Israel discovery experience. Here, children live all the magic of summer: deep friendships, outdoor living, arts, swimming and sports. What sets the Cohen Camps experience apart is how we connect with each other, exploring and celebrating our shared values, traditions and love of Israel, while we discover and appreciate each person as an individual. Jewish life, learning and joy infuse our days both as a rich heritage and as powerful ideas to guide us as we grow. We are pluralist and Kosher. My family founded the nonprofit Cohen Camps in 1935, and I have the privilege of building on the values and joy in the camp environment that shaped me. Now I, along with our entire nonprofit Board of Directors, welcome your family into the Cohen Camps community. Situated beside lakes in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, each of our camps shines with its own personality, connected by a common vision and legacy of leadership.
