About This Cause
A Company of Girls (ACOG) core program engages girls after school using a curriculum based in the arts (visual, culinary and performing) to foster social/emotional learning, leadership development, and positive communication skills, as well as providing opportunities that encourage girls to feel confident in themselves. We help girls build self-esteem and encourage feelings of self-worth, learn resiliency strategies, and develop teamwork, creative thinking and other important 21st century skills. Our goal is to fill after school hours with acceptance, learning, and mentorship, rather than loneliness, boredom and/or less than positive influences.
