Mission Statement
Susan B. Anthony Project promotes safety, healing and growth for all survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and advocates for the autonomy of women and the end of interpersonal violence.
About This Cause
We provide services free of charge in the 20 towns in northwestern Connecticut: • shelter, emergency food and transitional housing • a 24-hour crisis line • crisis and enhanced advocacy in the courts and with social services • domestic violence counseling and sexual assault crisis services • safety planning and support groups • job readiness, including resume building, personal management and life skills training and self-esteem improvement groups • financial support to overcome barriers to housing, education, employment, and legal representation .
