Mission Statement
Animal Friends of Connecticut (AFOC) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit no-kill rescue organization, located in central Connecticut serving our local community in New Britain and beyond.
About This Cause
AFOC is a volunteer-based organization that rescues stray, abandoned, abused, handicapped, and medically needy cats. AFOC’s mission is to increase the quality of life of the cats entrusted to us by providing them with exceptional care, protection, and loving compassion. They are provided medical care, all vaccinations, and spayed or neutered, then cared for at our shelter or foster homes until an appropriate placement can be found for them. Great attention is given to the placement of each animal. As a private organization we are funded and dependent upon charitable donations in order to continue our mission.
