About This Cause
Family Service League, established in 1926, is a Long Island non-profit human service organization providing a safety net for people in need. Serving 50,000 people annually, addressing some of the most prevalent and pressing human needs facing Long Island communities, FSL delivers tangible help and crisis intervention across a spectrum of service areas including mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, job training, computer literacy, trauma counseling, at-risk youth, family and senior citizen support services. In addition, FSL operates pre-school learning centers, universal pre-K programs, and Suffolk County’s only Community School. In all, FSL operates over 50 programs at 22 locations in Suffolk County, including Family Centers in Bay Shore, Huntington Station, William Floyd School District, East Yaphank, and Riverhead.
