Mission Statement
We provide essential services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Mercy Home’s mission is to ensure the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities through the recognition of each person’s inherent dignity and right to a life filled with learning and love. Our mission is fulfilled in practice through our core values: respect, trust, teamwork, care, and compassion.
About This Cause
Mercy Home is committed to the people we serve and elevating each person’s inherent dignity, enabling a life filled with learning and love. In Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities live in lovely homes. Each week young people between the ages of 4-18 attend the Creative Arts Therapy program for children with autism and autism spectrum disorder. Participants take part in music, drama/yoga, pet, and horticultural therapies. Young adults 18+ attend our weekly respite program and hang out with friends while learning essential socialization skills and exploring the community.
