Mission Statement

Founded in 1948 as a small outpatient clinic, United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc.(ucpn) has grown into an internationally recognized health and human services organization that provides therapy for over 2,000 Long Islanders with disabilities every year. CPNassau is more than CP (cerebral palsy). CPNassau addresses the needs of individuals suffering from birth trauma and defects, as well as traumatic brain injuries, and provides services to their families and caregivers, too.

About This Cause

United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc. (UCPN) is an independent, not-for-profit health agency serving over 1800 children and adults with cerebral palsy, developmental and other disabilities. The Association, founded in 1948, operates a comprehensive Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Roosevelt, New York which has earned international recognition for innovative and high quality programs. Many state-of-the-art services are provided in the Fortunoff Treatment and Rehabilitation Center and other areas of the facility. CPNassau also operates 18 group homes and residences to provide independent living opportunities.
