Mission Statement

The Crown Heights Institute for Leadership Development (CHILD) views education as the cornerstone upon which entire lives will depend. The Core of the Institute includes four components: Academic Excellence, Character and Leadership Development, Healthy Living and Nutrition and Out-of-the-Box Creative Arts.

About This Cause

The overall Mission of CHILD is both ‘comprehensive and holistic’. The Institute is designed to identify in each child their areas of strength and weakness and to assess how the programs offered in each of the four components will be used to prepare them for their next level.
