Mission Statement
The Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1983 that provides a broad range of essential services for our neighbors challenged by hunger, homelessness, and profound poverty. Our dedicated staff and volunteers, in conjunction with community and social services resources, work in a dignified and respectful manner to transform the lives of those in need and assist them in achieving self-sufficiency.
About This Cause
The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on Long Island by providing food, shelter, long-term housing, and supportive services for those who seek our help. Our guests, many of whom are homeless or indigent, all fall below the national poverty level. The INN operates the following programs: the Mary Brennan INN (MBI), Long Island’s largest soup kitchen, served over 66,000 meals in 2018; the Center for Transformative Change (CTC) assisted over 1500 guests in 2018 with clothing, housing options, medical and mental health appointments, employment assistance, and other social services; and our Emergency Shelter and Long Term Housing programs provide both emergency and low-rental accommodations.
