Mission Statement

East End Hospice (formed in 1991) is a not-for-profit organization (501c) and a NY State Certified Hospice that provides individualized care for terminally ill patients, their families and loved ones in the comfort of their own homes. Care is provided regardless of patient’s ability to pay. East End Hospice provides services to the all of the Eastern end of Long Island, encompassing the townships of Brookhaven, Riverhead, Southold, Shelter Island, Southampton and East Hampton as well as Fisher's Island. East End Hospice provides family centered care to enable people to continue an alert and pain free life so that their last days may be spent with dignity and quality surrounded by their family and loved ones. East End Hospice recently opened the Kanas Center for Inpatient Hospice Care. In addition, Camp Good Grief was created in 1997, a 5-day bereavement camp to help children cope with the loss of a loved one.

East End Hospice Mission Statement East End Hospice provides care and comfort for all terminally ill patients, their families and loved ones living on the North and South Forks of Long Island, including Brookhaven Township. Health care professionals and volunteers offer pain and symptom control as well as palliative care and social, emotional and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones in a comfortable and caring environment. East End Hospice also seeks to promote awareness of the benefits of hospice care in our communities through educational and informational presentations to civic, fraternal and religious groups, professional organizations and educational institutions. No one is ever denied care by East End Hospice because of inability to pay.
