About This Cause
The Jewish Heritage Center of Queens and Long Island maintains a network of Adult and Family Education Institutes at several locations throughout the Metropolitan New York area. They offer a full array of free lectures and classes, hotel retreats, educational and social programs designed for Jews with little or no formal background in Jewish Studies. Their comfortable non-judgmental approach provides an environment where, privately or in class settings, individuals are encouraged to question and guided to learn and grow at their own pace. The JHC also provides a safe environments for youth to feel welcome and appreciated and provide support services for these youth at risk, such as Mentoring, Therapy placement, Job enhancements and education supplementation.
