Founded in 1943, the American Craft Council (ACC) is a national nonprofit organization that connects and galvanizes diverse craft communities to cultivate and advance craft’s impact on contemporary American Life. ACC continues this vision, championing the diversity of American craft through public engagement, digital and print publishing, and supporting artists to live creatively through craft. ACC is the leading voice for craft in America, celebrating and advocating for the achievements of gifted artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and other materials. ACC promotes the diversity of American craft and welcomes all with an interest in craft to participate. ACC Programs include juried marketplaces; skill-building and information-sharing forums; American Craft magazine and online content that provide stories of makers and communities; awards recognizing achievement and innovation; research library; resource-rich website; and events that provide entry points to experience craft.
