About This Cause
Founded in 1962, Catalyst is the leading nonprofit focused on building workplaces that work for women. We concentrate on five key areas: 1- Advancing Women: Increasing the representation of women, particularly women from racially and ethnically marginalized groups, in corporate leadership and promoting equal access to career opportunities. 2- Future of Work: Developing solutions for women and underrepresented groups to have full participation and equal opportunity in the 21st-century workplace. 3- Equity and Inclusion: Deepening understanding of workplace inclusion and equipping global companies to remedy inequities across intersections of identity (such as gender, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, or gender identity). 4- MARC (Men Advocating Real Change): Engaging men to leverage their influence to advocate for gender equity in the workplace. 5- Frontline Employees Initiative: Catalyst is meeting the moment and broadening our focus to include women in frontline roles. Catalyst research is recognized as gold-standard on the topics featured above and we've been an early, and consistent vocal advocate for inclusive workplaces. To enable all women, particularly women of color, to contribute, organizations need to create an environment of inclusion. Our work emphasizes self-reflection, allyship, and fair treatment of others. We also have rich research and programming that inspires men to leverage their unique opportunity to be advocates for equity.
