Mission Statement
At Phipps Neighborhoods, we create safe, inclusive spaces where community members access education, career, and economic opportunities to succeed at school and work, raise healthy families, and build thriving communities
About This Cause
At Phipps Neighborhoods, our two-generation approach offers a continuum of integrated services that wrap around the whole family to create a legacy of economic stability, opportunities for upward mobility, and educational success that passes from one generation to the next. Our place-based approach targets residents of our affordable housing properties to access education, career, and economic opportunities to succeed at school and work, raise healthy families, and strengthen their neighborhoods. In collaboration with partner organizations and our neighbors, we seek to create lasting change for our communities. These vital investments are forging a brighter future for our city. PN delivers services in key Bronx neighborhoods where the full breadth of whole family support services can provide resources across the generational arc, from participants in early childhood to older adulthood. The organization offers preschool services for 3- and 4-year-olds and after-school services for elementary, middle, and high school students. Post-high school, Phipps Neighborhoods supports college access and completion and helps Bronx residents ready to work gain an employment foothold with job placement that provides opportunities for career advancement and wages that can support families. Phipps Neighborhoods does more than support education and career advancement; the organization creates a broad pathway to enhance the quality of life of all in its communities, amplified through its civic engagement, collective impact, and public health outreach programs, which center the voices of community members. Phipps Neighborhoods empowers community members with the tools to identify barriers to individual and community well-being and offers impactful solutions to achieving client-centered goals.
