About This Cause
Sun River Health delivers culturally sensitive, linguistically appropriate, full life cycle primary, preventative, behavioral and oral healthcare and enabling services, as well as robust care coordination and management, to medically underserved populations living throughout a 16-county region encompassing New York State’s Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island. Sun River Health has grown from a single site to the largest Community Health Center in New York State, and one of the largest in the country, with 63 primary care sites (43 directly operated and 20 subrecipient sites) serving more than 245,000 patients through nearly 1.1 million annual visits. In December 2018, Brightpoint Health joined the organization. Prior to this event, Brightpoint Health was an FQHC network of 13 sites offering integrated medical, behavioral, and social support services to 45,000 patients annually in all five boroughs of New York City.
