STRIVE's mission is to provide a pathway to life-changing careers and opportunities through comprehensive professional training, intensive personal support, and self employment for those who face societal barriers to employment.
About This Cause
STRIVE aspires to be the nation's leading organization building pathways into good careers for people who face significant systemic barriers. In its 40 year history, STRIVE has helped transform the lives of over 85,000 individuals by providing them with the skills and life-long support needed to enter the workforce and advance along a career path. STRIVE's work has also evolved as we continuously gain a better understanding of the systemic inequities that impact those we serve and build strong partnerships with funders dedicated to economic and social justice. Today, our five-pillar model has proven to be a highly flexible approach that works in many cultures and contexts. We offer it across sites in 14 locations, through a combination of 10 licensed partners and four managed sites in New York, Atlanta, Birmingham, and New Orleans.
