Mission Statement
Crossroads' mission is to unite the community in the fight to end hunger and homelessness. Crossroads is an inclusive community that provides warm meals and healthy groceries for New Yorkers from all walks of life.
About This Cause
As New Yorkers face the challenges of food insecurity, Crossroads' welcoming community is here for them. The food assistance provided makes so many differences, such as easing a worry for those experiencing homelessness, or supporting them in being able to sleep in their own homes instead of on the streets, obtain medical care or send their children to school with full bellies. Crossroads also create something deeper: a caring and friendly community, offering respect and dignity to all who are in need. Crossroads never turns anyone away from its twelve weekly meal programs. On Sunday, Monday and Wednesday mornings, Crossroads prepares a from scratch hot meal. On Saturday morning, hot food from a commissary kitchen partner is repackaged into individual meals. Seven nights a week, dinner is served. And once a week, guests can choose from a wide variety of groceries at the Pantry. In 2024, Crossroads distributed 446,563 meals to 151,307 people (duplicated and unduplicated). The need has never been greater.
