Nyumbani-USA supports organizations in Kenya that serve orphans, vulnerable children, and adults affected by HIV.
About This Cause
Among Nyumbani-USA's key projects are: The Nyumbani Alumni Sustainability Project - designed to allow the approximately 100 adult graduates of the Nyumbani Children's Home to survive and thrive despite the stigma of HIV. The six pillars of the project including provided access to mental health counseling, access to Kenya's national health insurance, psychosocial assistance, life coaching, economic empowerment and stability training, and permanency planning. Journey, The Ed Colina Foundation - providing monthly grants for food support to more than 850 HIV+ children and adults in cooperation with the Kakuma Mission Hospital Comprehensive Care Clinic in Turkana, Kenya. The Nyumbani Children's Home in Nairobi, Kenya - recognized as a world leader in providing life-saving holistic medical care and education to approximately 100 abandoned HIV+ children.
