Mercy Center creates opportunities for women, men and families in the South Bronx to grow and thrive through education, family, civic, social and economic programs. We build community with a spirit of hospitality, respect and equity in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy.
About This Cause
Mercy Center has been an anchor in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the South Bronx for 32 years, building community and transforming lives, one woman, one family at a time. Inspired with restored hope and prepared with practical skills to take charge of their lives, Mercy Center participants embark on their journey toward promising new futures of healthy family life and economic independence. Mercy Center takes a holistic approach in helping to transform the quality of life for over 3,500 participants each year through free adult education and workforce development, immigrant services, family and youth programs, personal development, social services and community education.
