About This Cause
WITNESS is an international organization that trains and supports people using video for human rights. We provide training, tools, and resources to activists and communities filming abuses worldwide, enabling them to use video safely, ethically, and effectively to create human rights change. At the same time, we advocate for changes in the larger systems in which people use video - including international justice systems, consumer technology platforms, and mainstream media - to make them more effective for human rights, thereby empowering billions of potential human rights documenters.
