Mission Statement
Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary is a no kill non profit corporation dedicated to housing, rehabilitating and adoption of abused, neglected and unwanted cats and dogs.
About This Cause
Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary on average houses 50-90 cats and kittens. Our Dog building was renovated in recent years and we can house up to 6 dogs and up to 2 litters of puppies. Foster homes are also used for medical, pregnant, and orphaned animals. We have an excellent TNR program with a well received barn cat program for those cats unable to return to their home colonies. We work closely with other humane shelters to transport animals into high population areas where the cats and kittens have the best chance of being adopted into their forever homes. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and dewormed before leaving our shelter. CVAS also offers a pet food bank for people in need. We encourage families volunteer with socializing with the animal. We encourage children to read to the animals. At CVAS we want to be a help to our community even if people are not taking home a furr-ever family member.
