Mission Statement
Catholic Charities Community Services seeks to provide high quality human services to New Yorkers of all religions who are in need. The newcomer, the family in danger of becoming homeless, the hungry child, the emotionally challenged and developing youth are among those for whom we have a particular concern. Our work is grounded in the belief in dignity of each person as made in the image of God and the building of a just and compassionate society - especially for the most vulnerable among us.
About This Cause
We fulfill our mission by focusing on the following five core areas: *Feeding the Hungry and Sheltering the Homeless *Strengthening Families and Resolving Crises *Welcoming and Integrating Immigrants and Refugees *Protecting and Nurturing Children and Youth *Supporting the Physically and Emotionally Challenged Our goal is to provide help and create hope for people in need. To achieve this goal, we engage in acts of charity and justice as we strive to alleviate the effects of poverty by providing direct assistance to all who seek our help while advocating for and with low-income individuals and families in support of public policies that promote the common good.
