Purpose, Vision, and Goals The United Methodist Committee on Relief responds to natural or human made disaster - these interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community's ability to recover on its own Vision: To alleviate human suffering with open minds to all religions and open hearts to all people. Four Mission Goals: 1. Make disciples of Jesus Christ; 2. Strengthen, develop, and renew Christian congregations and communities; 3. Alleviate human suffering; 4. Seek justice, freedom, and peace.
