About This Cause
Founded in 1997, Save The Music was the first organization in existence dedicated to restoring music programs. Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has donated $56 million worth of new musical instruments to over 2,100 public schools in 276 school districts around the country – impacting the lives of millions of public school students. How we do it... 1) We provide the capital investment of instruments, technology and other resources to start and build school music programs. 2) We support music teachers with professional development, research and classroom content. 3) We advocate at the local, state and national levels for music as a necessary component of every student’s education.
