Mission Statement
The Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation is a national, non-profit organization providing age-appropriate programs and activities for children and teens receiving treatment for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
About This Cause
Being diagnosed with cancer or any other life-threatening illnesses is devastating to any child; it is particularly devastating to an adolescent and their family. ARVF was created in 2002 after the passing of Alicia Rose DiNatale being treated for a rare cancer in children. During her time in a children's hospital, her family experienced the need for strength and support at the young age of 16years old. Because of her experiences and inspiration, The mission is to provide activities, programs, and events that enhance the quality of the lives of adolescents with life-threatening conditions. Our 'Victorious 4 Teens' programs, focus on the psychosocial needs of teens by providing comfort, distraction, support, and entertainment. The Teen Kit and Bandana Pillow program is at the heart of our mission statement and vision in improving the experience of hospitalized teenagers. It is designed to create and offer a means of creative expression, comfort, and entertainment. The Teen Kit includes a custom-designed nylon cinch bag filled with age-appropriate items, and shipped with a unique custom-sewn Bandana Pillow. These Teen Kits, let teens know that they are not forgotten, and that we are behind them, in their fight against cancer.
