About This Cause
Mission Kids is a regional leader in the fight against child abuse. We are a nationally accredited 501(c )(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based services for victims of child sexual abuse and their families through a collaborative approach with a multi-disciplinary team that includes detectives, prosecutors, child welfare investigators and victim advocates. Since opening in 2009, we have served over 8,000 children across Montgomery County, PA. Through our Child Advocacy Center, we support victims of child abuse through investigation and into healing. We also support law enforcement and child welfare investigations in the investigative process while protecting child victims from the potential of secondary trauma. We do this through forensic interviewing, and a multidisciplinary investigative approach, as well as family advocacy and trauma therapy to support victims during the investigation and in reclaiming their lives. We strive to unfailingly serve to protect children and youth from abuse. To do so, we work to boldly expand our reach and resources to do whatever is necessary to prevent them from further harm, address their physical and emotional needs and achieve justice on their behalf. Through all of this, we systematically work to end and address child abuse in Montgomery County. Our Vision is to unfailingly serve to protect children and youth from abuse.
