Mission Statement
Rebuild Africa is working to be Liberia’s recognized leader in skills-based primary and secondary education. We are helping to empower the youths of Liberia to rebuild their lives and communities through education, vocational training, and mentoring.
About This Cause
Few towns or villages in Liberia have access to quality education. Every year, this lack of access to even the most basic form of education condemns a significant number of children, especially girls, to poverty for the rest of their lives. Their only “crime” is they live in poor, remote communities. To address this problem, Rebuild Africa has been working for more than 12 years to bring quality and affordable education to communities that need it the most. Through a collaborative effort with residents, we are stimulating communities to take proactive actions to remedy the chronic lack of education. Rebuild Africa believes a decent education is a great equalizer and so our K-12 rural education initiative is creating and strengthening existing rural schools and community systems to give girls and boys a fair shot at a great future. We believe an excellent K-12 education can significantly increase a child’s access to college and a better life.
