Elmcrest provides care and treatment for children and families in need in order to improve their health and well being.
About This Cause
Elmcrest has been dedicated to the care and safety of children since its inception as an orphanage in 1845. Today, Elmcrest is a multi-service treatment center for children with emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric disturbances along with children with developmental disabilities and serious medical issues. In all instances, Elmcrest seeks to create an environment within which children and families can learn, grow, develop and overcome the circumstances that bring them to the Center. The fundamental precept of all treatment at Elmcrest is the safety and security of children. Once established, Elmcrest can successfully pursue its mission of "protecting the promise of childhood".
