Mission Statement
East House’s mission is to assist individuals recovering from mental illness, substance use disorder or both to live healthy and fulfilling lives. East House’s vision is to be a leader in our field and a valued resource for our clients, their families, our partners and our communities. We will provide quality, accessible and affordable community-based recovery options; address the holistic needs of our clients; focus on measurable outcomes; and consistently live our Core Values. About This Cause
East House is a nonprofit agency whoise mission is to empower individuals with mental health and substance use disorders to live healthy, fulfilling lives in their community. Through an integration of supportive housing and recovery services, East House treats the whole person and helps move individuals from illness to health. More than 1,250 men and women benefit from East House services, a majority living below the federal poverty level. Each of our 200 employees are recovery-oriented and take a person-centered approach to treatment. Starting with the belief that stable housing is essential to an individual's overall health and wellness, East House provides a full continuum of support housing option in Monroe County, NY. Each level of supportive housing assists individuals with building and maintaining the necessary skills for independent living during their recovery journey. East House's housing options include 6 community residentces with staff onsite 24 hours per day, 7 days a week for 81 individuals; 150 transitional apartments with onsite staff support for 170 individuals and for more than 200 poeple living in permanent apartments. Beyond housing, residents are provided with opportunities to develop vital tools for a successful recovery. Based on Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Eight Dimensions of Wellness, recovery pland are developed around each individual's strengths and wellness. Simply put, we move lives forward every day.
