The Wilson Disease Association provides support and hope to people impacted by Wilson disease worldwide so they may lead the best quality of life possible.
About This Cause
The Wilson Disease Association (WDA) is the only one in the North Americas serving the needs of Wilson disease patients and their caregivers. WDA is the world leader among patient advocacy groups for this rare genetic liver disorder. It sponsors a Patient Registry, provides educational opportunities, organizes conferences, provides access to medicines globally and methods for patients to communicate to each other. The WDA has established criteria for the establishment of Centers of Excellence and now has ten in the United States, one in the UK and two in India. WDA partners with pharmaceutical and industry stakeholders in the development of new treatments.
