Mission Statement
Chicago Cat Rescue is dedicated the rescue, care and adoption of homeless cats and kittens in the Chicagoland area, and to the education of their human companions.
About This Cause
Founded in 2006 by a small group of willful women, Chicago Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster based, licensed rescue organization. Since then, we have worked to help homeless cats and kittens in our community, by providing them with all necessary medical care, safe havens via private foster homes, good nutrition, and adoption to forever homes. We recognize that animal homelessness is endemic in our country, and we seek to arm our adopters with information and resources essential to their success as caregivers to their pets, for the rest of their lives. Animal homelessness must end. Our goal is not simply to find homes for our cats, but to find GOOD homes. CCR is truly a grassroots endeavor, and we are grateful to our dedicated volunteers and "foster parents extraordinaire", who form the core of our organization.
