Shambhala St. Petersburg is a 501c3 organization and meditation center that is part of Shambhala International, a world-wide organization of meditation and retreat centers. Shambhala is dedicated to helping people experience their basic goodness (a term pointing to the innate wisdom, compassion, kindness, and strength that each person possesses inherently) and, by extension, helping to create a good human society. Thus, Shambhala is a global community of meditation practitioners who aspire to link inner development with social transformation and planetary sustainability. Shambhala St. Petersburg works toward this goal by offering mindfulness meditation instruction and classes, community gatherings and celebrations, and much more.
